Holy Trinity Parish is the Roman Catholic Parish in Trail, British Columbia.

We strive to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our City and to build up Christ's Body on earth through service in our Community and Parish celebrations of Faith and Life. Our mission is to grow as a community of faith centered on Christ, formed by the teachings of the Catholic Church, and rooted in Sacred Scripture.

OUR PARISH COMMUNITY

Holy Trinity Parish is one of the largest Catholic Parishes in the Kootenay's; we have nearly 700  registered Catholic families in our  faith community. The Catholic Community in Trail was greatly influenced by the large Italian community that formed the majority of our city and region during the early and middle 1900's. At one time there were three parishes within Trail city limits, but times have changed.

Lack of Church attendance has necessitated the amalgamation the parishes in Trail. This has been difficult for many, but most see the sad necessity and have really worked hard to make our new Parish flourish.

On 26 May, 2013, the two remaining parishes in Trail were canonically suppressed and Holy Trinity Parish was created in their place. This name was chosen for several reasons, and is very appropriate for our newly formed community. In the last 20 years Trail has seen the loss of all three of it's original Parishes, and the new name not only honours our God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but it also represents, perhaps on an emotional level, the history of our faith journey here in Trail.

Holy Trinity Parish is an active, and exciting parish for those who wish to be involved.

CATHOLIC EDUCATION

We have a Catholic School that serves the Greater Trail Area with grades pre-Kindergarten through Grade 7. St. Michael's School is strongly founded on the principles of offering our students the highest quality education, smaller class sizes where at all possible, and a deeply caring environment. Our school welcomes children from all faith traditions, or those who have none. The understanding is that what is taught at St. Michael's School is based in Catholic morals and  sound Church teaching, all students attend religious education in our school.

If you are interested in more information about St. Michael's School, please contact the School at (250) 368 - 6151 during office hours, or go to http://smces.ca/ to the school website. You may also register your child(ren) in St. Michael's Independent Catholic School by downloading and printing out theRegistration Package found on the Parent's Page.
